Selected Student Comments

“Kyu is an excellent and amiable teacher who is clearly very knowledgable about what he teaches. He will go very far in his post-grad studies.” - EC 421 Winter 2024

‘‘Kyu was very knowledagble, nice, and funny as an instructor. He was easy to talk to and gave very clear and helpful responses in person and via email. Great instructor.’’ - EC 421 Fall 2023

‘‘Kyu is very easy to approach outside of class and will always spend extra time to help.’’ - EC 421 Summer 2023

‘‘Kyu does a really good job at making everyone comfortable. he makes it easy for everyone to ask questions even when they are too shy by making a zoom link to type questions into. he is also very understanding and willing to help anyone.’’ - EC 340 Winter 2023

‘‘Kyutaro was quite simply an absolute saint for ECON 201. In a class where the professor would fail to explain a concept after several attempts, Kyutaro could explain it in seconds with brilliant notes for later reflection. In this course Kyutaro was my teacher not the Professor. Near the end of the term I discovered that by skipping lectures and just going to Kyutaro’s discussion section while referring to his notes I was scorching significantly better on the homework than before. Going to lectures was only creating further confusion. I don’t think I would have received a passing grade if not for Kyutaro.’’ - EC 201 Lab Winter 2021

‘‘He is the best econ professor! He made class engaging and made students like economics. His notes are the key to passing the exams. He is available anytime you need him. He goes beyond what is expected from a professor. I like economics thanks to this professor!’’ - EC 101 Spring 2019

‘‘Always has an positive attitude. Kyu always gives examples to assist with the concept and always offer office hours. Always helpful in office, he knows how to break it down, to your own individual understanding.’’ - EC 101 Fall 2018
